After months of writing, recording, editing, re-recording, re-editing, mixing and mastering, I’m proud to finally announce the release of “Fire’s Burning Cold”.
The song is a progressive house banger created by Voluminous and Vicarious, members of the international production crew VR3Z. I had met one of the members (real name Jaden Choi) several months prior during the production process of Unproperly’s “Memories Don’t Just Fade Away” EP for which he provided a remix.
The pair approached me in late August to feature on the track, and I quickly recorded the first demo vocals in a hotel room in Portland. The rest is history. More specifically, a historical amount of vocal re-takes, fine-tuning edits, and SO much mixing.
In the end, we’re proud to be able to share a track that pushed the boundaries for all parties, and has opened our minds to new styles of music and processes.
