Greetings fans and friends! I’m excited to share that I’ll be performing at the Nikkei Matsuri Festival in Burnaby on Saturday, August 31st 2019 during their Talent Competition.
Funnily enough, I originally auditioned to participate in the competition itself. My downfall was not being able to read Japanese, as the website clearly stated (in Japanese, mind you) that the competition was open to non-professional artists only! Despite my audition going very well, I was sadly ineligible.
However, I'm very thankful to have been invited to perform during the judges’ deliberations after the contestants perform. The competition begins at 5:00PM, and I’ll likely perform around 6:45PM. Come on out to support the brave young performers, and then stick around for my 10-12 minute special set.
